2012 Plan Case

Hydroelectric imageIn its initial PSCR filing on September 28, 2011, the Company filed for recoverable electricity supply costs of approximately $51.7 million. CARE conducted five rounds of extensive discovery focusing on many of the Company’s proposed assumptions for transmission costs. The company originally requested recovery for $9,468,932 for transmission expenses. After many discussions the company revised its projections and reduced its projected transmission costs to $7,630,530 for a reduction of $1,838,402. In addition attention was given to the planned outage of the company’s hydro facility and the resulting requirement to purchase higher cost of electric supply in the MISO market and the lost opportunity sales that would come from hydro facility.
