2013 Plan Case

Utility MeterIn this case, CARE was the only party filing testimony opposing the Company’s requested recovery of $38,497,752 of net power supply costs. After extensive discovery, CARE’s expert recommended an adjustment in the company’s Real Time Market Price (RTMP) sales based on an upward trend of these sales over the past three years. This resulted in a $49,883 adjustment. Additionally, testimony was offered claiming that the Company had over-estimated the cost of power purchases from its affiliate and from MISO. This adjustment resulted in a $990,225 reduction. Finally, the Company had proposed an 8.5% increase in transmission costs. Through discovery, CARE’s expert recommended a decrease of $194,190. The total of these recommendations plus some misc other adjustments was $1,561,054. Ultimately the company agreed to the proposed reductions mentioned above.
